Pokémon GO: the “Festival of Colors” is introducing new creatures

A new event has been announced for “Pokémon GO”. It is called “Festival of Colors” and it will allow fans of the mobile video game to find exclusive monsters, including Oricorio. The latter is originally from the Kalos region and first appeared in “Pokémon X & Y”.

According to Niantic, the developing studio of the franchise, the upcoming happening will feature different versions of Oricorio. The Pom-pom type will be accessible to those playing from the Americans while those in Europe, Africa and the Middle East will be able to capture the Baile variant. Those in the Asia-Pacific region will find Sensu Oricorio. There is also a Pa’u version which will be showcased in specific areas such as the Caribbean and the Pacific Islands.

Aside from the exclusive Pokémon, players will also have access to special raids, challenges and a series of unique monsters to capture. The “Festival of Colors” was launched to honour the Hindu celebration of Holi. As such, it seems fit that the colourful creature was chosen for the event.

Other happenings are also showcased in “Pokémon GO” right now. For instance, players can take part in the “Season of Alola” which will run until June 1. It enables gamers to capture monsters from Generation 7 of the franchise.
